Diamond Edge Restaurant & Fort McKinley Golf Cart Tour
WHEN:      Tuesday, July 30 OR Tuesday, August 6
WHERE:    Great Diamond Island, Portland, ME
TIMES:     Bus leaves Quest Fitness back left corner parking
                       area at 8:50am & returns approximately 3:30pm
COST:      $40/participant for transportation, cruise & golf cart tour;
  **Lunch cost at Diamond’s Edge Restaurant on your own**

Join us on 30 minute scenic boat ride to Great Diamond Island. When we arrive we will begin our golf cart tour of the historic Fort McKinley, built during the Spanish-American War in the late 1800s to protect Portland Harbor. On your tour you will see some of the 9 batteries, the still standing sergeant quarters and 100 man barrack building, officers club and older theater & hospital buildings. After our tour we will experience the relaxation of island dining on a covered deck at the Diamonds Edge Restaurant overlooking the amazing views of Diamond Cove.
